Tonight from 7pm BST, Glenfiddich will be hosting the
world’s highest ever whisky tasting event live from Everest Base Camp. Where
the ‘Walking with the Wounded’ Everest team will nose and taste a selection of
Glenfiddich’s finest single malts.
On Tuesday 8th May it was announced that the team has had to
postpone its Everest summit attempt due to the weather conditions. However, the team will toast their last day
at Everest Base Camp by taking part in this ground breaking whisky tasting.
Tonight you’ll also be able to watch footage of the ‘Walking
With The Wounded’ expedition and live interviews with the summit team, as they
join via satellite link, Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador Jamie Milne, who will be
joined in London by a panel of special guests, including Co-Founders of ‘Walking
with the Wounded’ Ed Parker and Simon Daglish.
The whiskies that will be sampled during tonight’s event
will be: Glenfiddich 12yr, 15yr, 18yr
and the 19 Year Old Age of Discovery. So why not grab a
dram in hand and join in at home!
There will also be five prizes of a Glenfiddich fleece and a
‘Walking with the Wounded’ t-shirt to those who ask the expedition team the
best questions via Twitter using the hashtag #WWTWLive
