Considered to be one of the most distinctive single malt’s in the world, Laphroaig, will be hosting Laphroaig Live – now in its seventh year – live from New York on Thursday 26th of September at 20:00 EDT (01:00 GMT).
The event, which will be hosted in an original Hudson River
Barge, will offer a fantastic selection of Laphroaig expressions direct from
Islay to New York and will explore the whisky’s strong ties with America,
stepping back in time to the era of Prohibition as well as looking at how
Laphroaig’s North-Atlantic ties are still thriving today.
Among those whiskies being tasted is a Friends of Laphroaig
exclusive, Cairdeas 2013. This unique
expression used Port Wood for part of its maturation resulting in an extraordinary
taste and colour.
As always, the event will be joined by Laphroaig Distillery
Manager, John Campbell. This year he’ll be accompanied on the panel by Bourbon
Ambassador Adam Harris, the renowned Michael J. Neff, Mixologist and Founder of
Ward III and cocktail and spirit enthusiast Kevin Sintumuang, web editor of GQ.
A studio audience of Friends of Laphroaig will join the tens of thousands of
Laphroaig fans worldwide that tune in to the live show every year.
Join John Campbell, Adam Harris, Michael J. Neff and Kevin
Sintumuang live online at laphroaig.com/live to take part in this live tasting
session on Thursday 26th September 2013 at 20:00 EDT (01:00 GMT).
