The Kentucky based Woodford Reserve Distillery, has announced the launch of a new limited-edition release from its Distillery Series.

Woodford Reserve Chocolate Whisper Redux (68.7% ABV) which is a 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – matured in new charred American oak casks, is the highest-proof/abv offering from the distillery to date.

Chocolate Whisper Redux, is part of Woodford Reserve’s Distillery Series, which was created to push Woodford Reserve’s creative boundaries and introduce new expressions to the market.

This latest release which follows on from the original 2021 Chocolate Whisper bottling, is said to deliver notes of chocolate, rich toasted oak, clove and nutmeg on the nose. Followed by notes of cacao nibs, dark roasted coffee, dried cherry, cranberry and charred oak on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Elizabeth McCall, Woodford Reserve Master Distiller, said: “It is exciting to see how Chocolate Whisper Redux evolved since its initial release in 2021. A longer barrel age has enhanced its bold flavour notes while preserving the long finish.”
