Elixir Distillers has announced that it has reimagined its flagship Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum. In addition to a brighter, striking new look, its recipe has been tweaked, resulting in a brighter, more vibrant and versatile rum.

Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum (46.2% ABV) is a blended traditional rum, comprised of single origin rums from Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica.

Each rum contributes distinct characteristics: delicate Barbadian honey, the new addition of Trinidad providing stone and tropical fruit flavours, rich Guyanese body and a touch of Jamaican funk.

These rums combined are said to deliver signature flavours and aromas of ripe pineapple, vanilla fudge and toasted cinnamon. Resulting in a rum which is bright, vibrant and open to a wide array of cocktails, while retaining the depth and body to be enjoyed sipped.

True to the Black Tot range, this latest release contains no sugar or flavourings and is non-chill filtered. Its flavours and natural sweetness come solely from the rums within the blend.

Commenting on the launch, Oliver Chilton, Black Tot Master Blender, said: “The new blend is an approachable all-rounder. We’ve layered Trinidad rum into our original blend – softer, sweeter and tropical fruit-driven — which makes our new Black Tot Finest Caribbean blend so versatile. Its depth of flavour is both for sipping and makes a strong base for building brilliant cocktails: we want to get more people into this incredible category.”

Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £42.95.
