The Glenlivet has announced the launch of the first expression from its new Beyond Speyside series – a US-exclusive whisky finished in Jamaican Rum casks.

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition – Treasure Beach (40% ABV) is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks before being finished in casks that previously held Jamaican Rum.

This marks the inaugural release in the Beyond Speyside series, which aims to capture the spirit of distinctive destinations around the world. The innovative expression combines The Glenlivet’s signature smoothness with the vibrant, sun-soaked flavours of Jamaica, offering whisky enthusiasts a unique and adventurous tasting experience.

Inspired by Treasure Beach, a hidden gem on Jamaica’s south coast, this latest edition is said to deliver aromas of fresh mango, pineapple, coconut and green apple on the nose, followed by notes of pineapple, vanilla and toffee on the palate.

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition – Treasure Beach, will be available later this month from select US retailers, for a RRP of $54.99.
