Royal Salute has announced the launch of the third and final release in its limited-edition Kingdom Collection.

Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish (40% ABV) which is a blended Scotch whisky finished in ex-Colheita Port casks sourced from a renowned Portuguese winery in the Douro Valley, is said to invite whisky connoisseurs on a sensory voyage that celebrates the brand’s regal heritage and draws inspiration from the majestic former Kingdom of Portugal.

Rooted in a tradition that began with the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, when the Chivas Brothers–owned brand was founded, the Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish stands as a testament to timeless craftsmanship and a tribute to Portugal’s rich history, architecture and vibrant culture.

At the heart of this latest release — created by Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop — lies a unique maturation: the first in the brand’s history to be finished in Port casks. The result is a bespoke blend offering notes of stewed pears, summer berries, spiced orange, glazed cherries, red liquorice, fig jam, marzipan, cinnamon sweets and nutmeg spice on the nose. The palate follows with flavours of fresh blueberries, orchard fruits, toasted hazelnuts, orange zest, creamy toffee, ginger and cardamom.

Commenting on the launch, Sandy Hyslop said: “The Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish is more than just a whisky — it’s an experience crafted for those who appreciate the finest things in life. Colheita Ports are made exclusively from grapes harvested in a single vintage year, bringing a unique delicacy to the flavour profile of the Royal Salute blend. This expression embodies our commitment to exceptional ageing and innovative finishing, offering a taste of Portugal’s rich heritage in every sip. It is a perfect addition for the discerning collector and connoisseur seeking unparalleled depth and character.”

The Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £560.00.
