Rare Find, the acclaimed independent bottler renowned for uncovering extraordinary single cask whiskies, has announced that it is marking the end of its 10th anniversary year with the release of a limited-edition single cask whisky.

Rare Find Caol Ila 42 Year Old (51.7% ABV), a single malt Scotch whisky drawn from a single refill hogshead (#1288), pays homage to the company’s journey – fittingly returning to the Islay-based Caol Ila distillery, the source of Rare Find’s very first bottling.

This milestone release is said to offer aromas of Cuban cigars, camphor, peat smoke, candied tropical fruits, sea spray and cold ashes on the nose, followed by flavours of banana, preserved lemons, maritime peat smoke, chamois leather, eucalyptus, honey and orange oil on the palate.

The Caol Ila 42 Year Old not only embodies Rare Find’s founding vision of creating whiskies that are genuinely rare by design, but also marks a key moment in the brand’s 10th anniversary celebrations, recognising a decade of growth and the company’s reputation as one of the most trusted names in the whisky world.

Commenting on the launch, Derek Mair, Rare Find Founder, said: “Our Caol Ila 42-Year-Old is a whisky of distinction – remarkable not just for its lineage, echoing the spirit of our very first release, but for embodying the essence of everything we pursue: profound depth, genuine authenticity and singular character. Decades of patient maturation have sculpted this venerable spirit into an archetype of what Rare Find represents – whiskies defined by character and pure enjoyment in every sip.”

Rare Find Caol Ila 42 Year Old will be available from December 12th from select specialist retailers for a RRP of £999.00.
