The Clermont, Kentucky-based James B. Beam Distilling Co. has announced the launch of the inaugural release in a new limited-edition series from its Knob Creek brand, celebrating one of the most skilled and nuanced crafts in whiskey-making: blending.
Knob Creek Blender’s Edition – 01 (53% ABV) is a 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, comprising hand-selected American oak casks that highlight the sweeter side of Knob Creek, which were chosen by eighth-generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe and his trusted team of expert blenders.
Born from the passion, precision and dedicated pursuit of bold flavour that define Knob Creek, the Blenders Edition series is said to showcase the artistry and deliberate decisions that shape the unique flavour profile of each release.
Knob Creek Blender’s Edition – 01 is described as opening with rich confectionery sweetness and a full mouthfeel, featuring notes of vanilla bean and a long, soft finish.
Commenting on the launch, Freddie Noe, Eighth Generation Master Distiller, said: “The Blenders Edition series is about slowing down and discovering the story each blend tells, with a unique new experience in every release. It is thanks to the passion and precision of our blending team that the nuanced flavours in Knob Creek Blenders Edition – 01 are brought to life.”
Knob Creek Blender’s Edition – 01 is now available from selected retailers in the US, for a RRP of $44.99.
