The Crieff-based The Glenturret Distillery has announced the launch of a new limited-edition release, said to be defined by contrast, precision and quiet transformation.

The Glenturret Eclosion (46.2% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of European oak PX Sherry casks and an American oak puncheon.

This latest release from Scotland’s oldest working distillery takes its name from the moment of emergence and is described as a study in balance and restraint. It demonstrates how careful cask selection can create both depth and brightness within a single expression, without either overpowering the other.

Crafted by Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno, The Glenturret Eclosion is described by the brand as delivering bright pineapple and citrus compote on the nose, layered with vanilla cream and a gentle trace of ginger-spiced oak. The palate opens with vibrant citrus fruits, unfolding into further layers of pineapple and hints of orange oil, before soft oak emerges lightly dusted with cinnamon.

Limited to 4,650 bottles, The Glenturret Eclosion is now available from the distillery and selected specialist retailers, for a RRP of £95.00.
