Heaven Hill Distillery has announced the UK launch of its Old Fitzgerald 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, which will be available exclusively from Majestic, the UK’s largest specialist retailer of wine, beer and spirits.

Old Fitzgerald 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon (50% ABV) is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, produced using a wheated mashbill of 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, before being matured in Level 3 charred new American oak barrels.

For a whiskey to be classified as Bottled-in-Bond, it must meet a strict set of requirements, including being the product of a single distillery from a single distillation season, aged for a minimum of four years and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

As the signature expression from one of America’s most iconic Bourbon brands, Old Fitzgerald 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon continues the brand’s reputation for producing best-in-class Bourbon, first established during the mid-20th century. The brand itself was inspired by John E. Fitzgerald, a treasury agent reputed for secretly taking whiskey from the barrels in his care. The Old Fitzgerald name was first trademarked in 1884.

This new to the UK release, is said to offer aromas of biscuits and honey on the nose, followed by notes of fresh bread, brown sugar and baking spices on the palate.
