The Kentucky based Four Roses Distillery, has announced the launch of the first release in a new limited-edition annual series.

Four Roses Anthology: Chapter One – Origin (62.5% ABV), which is the distillery’s oldest release to date, is a 21 Year Old Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, matured in American oak barrels.

The new Anthology series will comprise rare and highly limited releases, each telling a distinct chapter in the brand’s 138 year old history. Launching during one of the distillery’s most innovative periods to date, Anthology honours Four Roses’ rich heritage while exploring the moments, people and craftsmanship that have shaped the brand over generations.

Inspired by the brand’s founding story of love and connection, Chapter One: Origin, transports consumers back to 1888, when founder Paul Jones Jr. professed his love and proposed marriage to his Southern belle. She later accepted his proposal by arriving at a grand ball wearing a corsage of four red roses, inspiring Jones to name the distillery after the moment that would define the brand for generations to come.

The first release in the new series is said to reflect the unwavering passion, dedication to craftsmanship and meaningful connections that continue to define the brand today. On the nose, it delivers notes of apricot, vanilla and spiced mint, followed by notes of creamy oak, ripe cherry, cacao, rich honey, antique oak and lingering rich fruit on the palate.

Limited to just 1,200 bottles, Four Roses Anthology: Chapter One – Origin, will be available exclusively from the distillery from July 10th, for a RRP of $500.00.
