The Kentucky-based Bourbon producer Russell’s Reserve has announced the launch of a new commemorative release and accompanying film, to celebrate Master Distiller Eddie Russell’s 45th anniversary with Wild Turkey Distilling Co.

Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old – Spring 2026 Release (60.6% ABV) is a barrel-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey matured in American oak barrels. The expression features a commemorative label paying tribute to Eddie’s 45 years of whiskey-making expertise.

Eddie’s journey began in 1981 with what was intended to be a summer job at the distillery, one that quickly became a lifelong calling. More than four decades later, he remains a Hall of Fame Master Distiller and a driving force in shaping modern Bourbon.

Continuing the tradition of showcasing the truest expression of the barrel – an approach central to Eddie’s bourbon-making philosophy – this year’s batch highlights his exceptional ability to hand-select barrels and develop deep, complex flavours through maturation.

Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old – Spring 2026 Release, is said to offer aromas of vanilla, oak, brown sugar, coffee and orange peel on the nose, followed by notes of cherry, citrus, nutmeg, allspice and hints of cola on the palate.

To mark the milestone, Russell’s Reserve is honouring Eddie with an original documentary celebrating his life and career. The film will debut for one day only on June 23rd at selected Alamo Drafthouse cinemas across the US.

Limited in quantities, Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old – Spring 2026 Release, will be available later this month from the distillery’s visitor centre and selected retailers across the US, for a RRP of $200.00.
