Rare Find, the award-winning Edinburgh-based independent bottler renowned for uncovering exceptional single cask whiskies, has announced the launch of its latest collection of single cask whiskies, celebrating the versatility of Glenglassaugh’s coastal Highland spirit.
Following continued momentum throughout 2026 and growing demand for its carefully selected single cask releases, Rare Find’s latest collection brings together three exceptional Glenglassaugh expressions, each showcasing how different cask finishes can reveal new dimensions of the same vibrant, characterful spirit.
Glenglassaugh’s naturally expressive character, shaped by the meeting of land and sea, is said to provide an ideal foundation for exploring the influence of exceptional finishing casks.
The Rare Find Glenglassaugh Collection comprises:
Glenglassaugh 10 Year Old (54.6% ABV)
- Finished for 19 months in a first-fill Foursquare Rum barrel
- Limited to 234 bottles
This release is said to deliver aromas of wild honey, caramel, peaches, zesty citrus, leafy greenery and underripe bananas on the nose, followed by notes of toffee, caramel, lemon-drizzled apricots, golden tobacco and hints of cinnamon stick on the palate.
Glenglassaugh 9 Year Old (52.7% ABV)
- Finished for 11 months in a first-fill Madeira octave
- Limited to 53 bottles
The whisky is described as offering aromas of orange and lemon zest, plump raisins, digestive biscuits, powdered ginger and freshly picked red and black berries on the nose, followed by rich dark berry cordials, chocolate, candied orange peel, pepper and cinnamon spice on the palate.
Glenglassaugh 9 Year Old (52.2% ABV)
- Finished for 11 months in a first-fill Ruby Port octave
- Limited to 48 bottles
This release is said to offer notes of strawberry shortcake, raspberries laced with thick cream, a buttery biscuit base, mirabelle plums and milk chocolate buttons on the nose, followed by notes of berry fruits, ginger, cinnamon, chocolate torte and cask char on the palate.
As with all Rare Find releases, each whisky is bottled without compromise – at natural cask strength, with natural colour, and without chill filtration.
Commenting on the launch, James Zorab, Whisky Supply Manager for Rare Find, said: “Glenglassaugh has such a distinctive spirit style – vibrant, fruit-forward and with a subtle coastal freshness – which makes it incredibly exciting to explore through different cask finishes. This collection is about showcasing the versatility of that spirit and how carefully selected wood can reveal completely different facets of its character. Together, these releases represent exactly what Rare Find seeks to create – exceptional single casks that offer something distinctive, memorable and genuinely worth discovering.”
All three releases in the new Rare Find Glenglassaugh Collection will be available from July 30th through selected specialist retailers, for a RRP of £79.00 each.
