The Macallan has announced the launch of the sixth and final release in its limited-edition Harmony Collection, which explores the brand’s deep-rooted connection to the natural world through creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.

Crafted by The Macallan’s Whisky Mastery team, the release comprises two single malt Scotch whiskies: Inspired by Fresh Coconut (46.3% ABV) and Inspired by Toasted Coconut (43.3% ABV). Both have been matured in a combination of Sherry-seasoned American oak casks and ex-Bourbon barrels.

The two latest releases are said to offer a study in contrast and complement, balancing fresh and toasted notes with vibrant and rich characteristics. By drawing out these distinct flavour profiles, the Whisky Mastery team has created two expressions defined by balance, complexity and natural character.

Through precise cask selection and expert maturation, the team has skilfully brought forward a nuanced coconut character that is rarely found in The Macallan’s whiskies, showcasing the balance between the science and artistry of whisky making.

The Macallan Harmony Collection: Inspired by Fresh Coconut is said to reveal aromas of fresh coconut, citrus and tropical fruits, layered with vanilla, sweet oak and gentle spice. On the palate, coconut milk, zesty lime and soft sweetness give way to a bright, floral finish.

The Macallan Harmony Collection: Inspired by Toasted Coconut is described as a richer expression, characterised by aromas of toasted coconut, crème caramel and white chocolate. The palate delivers notes of coconut truffle, charred pineapple and frangipane, leading to a long, warming finish with sweet oak and tropical fruits.
