The Glasgow Distillery has announced the launch of three new Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky expressions, forming part of its annual limited-release collection, which showcase the distillery’s favourite combinations of spirit style and cask maturation.

Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured Batch 2 – 8 Years Old (54% ABV)
Matured exclusively in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels and comprising 50% unpeated double-distilled and 50% peated double-distilled single malt, this expression is said to deliver notes of vanilla, floral honey, sweet smoke, citrus fruit, shortbread and tropical fruit, with a long oak-spice finish. Limited to 1,600 bottles.

Glasgow 1770 Ruby Port Cask Finish Batch 2 – 7 Years Old (54% ABV)
Initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels before an extended finish in Ruby Port hogsheads, this expression comprises unpeated double-distilled single malt and is said to deliver notes of summer berries, dark cherries, rich vanilla, marzipan, sweet almonds and pink peppercorn spice. Limited to 1,200 bottles.

Glasgow 1770 Sherry Cask Matured Batch 1 – 6 Years Old (55% ABV)
Comprising 50% unpeated double-distilled and 50% peated double-distilled single malt, this expression combines unpeated single malt finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with peated single malt matured in Medium Sherry casks from Ximénez-Spínola. It is said to deliver notes of cedarwood, orange peel, dark fruits, toffee apple, ground coffee and lingering sweet smoke. Limited to 1,600 bottles.

The collection sits between The Glasgow Distillery’s core Signature Range and its Experimental Small Batch Series, offering whisky drinkers a deeper exploration of the distillery’s house style through carefully selected cask pairings.

All three new Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky annual limited-release collection expressions are now available from the distillery’s website and selected specialist retailers, for a RRP of £59.00 each.
