The Highland based Dalmore Distillery has announced the launch of the latest release in its limited-edition Distillery Select Series.

The Dalmore Distillery Select 2026 (53.7% ABV) is a 14 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky, initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished for one year and nine months in Semisecco Marsala casks.

The Semisecco Marsala barriques are said to add a distinctive layer of complexity to the whisky, shaping its depth and delivering a distinctive Semisecco Marsala finish, while maintaining the clear signature style of The Dalmore.

The Dalmore Distillery Select 2026 is described as offering aromas of floral overtones, sweet clementine, stone fruits, honeyed malt, a hint of grape must and spiced vanilla. On the palate, flavours of candied orange peel, sweet pear, toffee and brioche are complemented by subtle hints of walnut, clove and cinnamon. The whisky finishes with sweet citrus and rich oak, evoking a fading memory of festive spice.

First launched in 2024, The Dalmore Distillery Select Series offers whisky fans access to hidden gems from The Dalmore’s dunnage warehouses. Intentionally chosen from small parcels of stock, each whisky is selected for its quality and unique character.

The Dalmore’s whisky makers carefully review its storied stocks to identify expressions of spirit that reveal a different dimension of The Dalmore’s flavour profile. For 2026, the ambition was to select a whisky that showed The Dalmore in a distinctive light, while remaining clearly rooted in the signature house style.

Limited to 1,110 bottles, The Dalmore Distillery Select 2026 will be available from August 31st from selected specialist retailers, for a RRP of £350.00. Members of The Dalmore Guild will have the opportunity to purchase the whisky in advance and will be notified by email.
