Remus Bourbon has announced the launch of the 10th anniversary edition of its award-winning Repeal Reserve Series Bourbon, alongside its first-ever Rye release.

Remus Repeal Reserve Series X (53.5% ABV), a straight Bourbon whiskey produced at Ross & Squibb in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, comprises Bourbons distilled between 2008 and 2017, using three mash bills: LBSV, LESV and the rarely used LISV recipe.

For the last decade, the Remus Repeal Reserve Series has honoured the repeal of Prohibition with an evolving annual blend inspired by the legendary “King of the Bootleggers,” George Remus. 

The Bourbon is said to offer notes on the nose of French oak layered with vanilla, tobacco and dark chocolate. The palate unfolds with almond croissant and vanilla, alongside balanced oak and a subtle pistachio richness. The finish is smooth and indulgent, with notes of English toffee and candied almond.

Remus Repeal Reserve Rye Whiskey (55.5% ABV), a straight Rye whiskey also produced at Ross & Squibb in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, uses Remus’ signature 95% rye mash bill and comprises Ryes distilled in 2015 and 2016.

The Rye is described as offering notes on the nose of butterscotch, caramel, French oak and cardamom, with a palate of mint, star anise, toffee and fennel. The finish closes with candy-coated fennel seed.
