Rare Find, the award-winning Edinburgh-based independent bottler, renowned for uncovering exceptional single cask whiskies, has announced the launch of its latest Collection of single cask whiskies, which is said to bring together four exceptional expressions from distilleries renowned for their rich, full-bodied spirit styles.

The Rare Find Autumn 2026 Collection, explores the relationship between spirit weight, texture and cask influence, showcasing how carefully chosen maturation can enhance the qualities that make each distillery distinctive.

The collection brings together four whiskies where weight is central to their identity: the waxy complexity of Clynelish, the muscular fruit character of Mortlach, the oily robustness of Ben Nevis and the unmistakable coastal power of Laphroaig.

The Rare Find team has used carefully considered cask maturation to enhance texture, amplify character and reveal new layers of complexity within each spirit. First-fill Oloroso Sherry casks introduce richness, dried fruit and spice, strengthening the natural weight of these whiskies without overwhelming their individuality, while refill Sherry maturation allows the underlying distillery character to remain firmly at the forefront.

The Rare Find Autumn 2026 Collection comprises:

Rare Find Clynelish 8 Year Old (61% ABV)
Fully matured in a refill Sherry hogshead
Limited to 305 bottles – RRP: £69.00

The whisky is said to deliver notes of Victoria sponge cake with thick buttercream, alongside a bright berry compote, while bourbon biscuits and burnt toffee bring additional tempting sweetness on the nose. On the palate, sugar-dusted red and black berries sit alongside chocolate-dipped strawberries and a sprinkle of white pepper, creating a rich, textural delivery.

Rare Find Ben Nevis 12 Year Old (56.6% ABV)
Finished for 26 months in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry quarter cask
Limited to 167 bottles – RRP: £79.00

This release is said to deliver notes of bright, leafy Sherry, ripe hedgerow berries, plump sultanas, shortbread, buttery popcorn and bourbon biscuits on the nose. Rich, oily and mouth-coating on the palate, it unfolds with chocolate digestives, red and black berries and butterscotch, followed by building notes of cinnamon and pepper spice.

Rare Find Laphroaig 14 Year Old (56.2% ABV)
Finished for 15 months in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry hogshead
Limited to 217 bottles – RRP: £155.00

The whisky is described as delivering notes of iodine, brine and driftwood on the nose, alongside camphor, rock pools, preserved lemon and sea spray. The palate is perfectly rounded, with medicinal peat smoke, sea spray, layered iodine and coastal rock-pool salinity alongside dried berries and beach bonfire embers.

Rare Find Mortlach 16 Year Old (54.6% ABV)
Finished for 28 months in a first-fill European oak Oloroso Sherry hogshead
Limited to 268 bottles – RRP: £115.00

This release is said to deliver notes of vanilla buttercream and toffee cups on the nose, alongside redcurrant jelly, cracked walnuts, gingerbread and milk chocolate. On the palate, cinnamon- and ginger-spiced plums lead into balsamic strawberries and polished oak, while the texture persists throughout the development, revealing orange oils, biscuit crumb and dusty oak.

As with all Rare Find releases, each whisky is bottled at natural cask strength, with natural colour and without chill filtration.

Commenting on the launch, James Zorab of Rare Find, said: “These are four distilleries that naturally produce whiskies with weight, texture and unmistakable character, so our role was not to overpower those qualities, but to find casks that could further enhance them. From the gentle influence of refill Sherry maturation through to the richness brought by first-fill Oloroso, each cask has been selected because it complements what makes the spirit distinctive. Together, they represent what Rare Find is all about – discovering exceptional single casks and utilising thoughtful maturation to reveal new dimensions of already remarkable spirits.”

The Rare Find Autumn 2026 Collection will be available from September 17th through selected specialist retailers.
