The Crieff-based Glenturret Distillery has announced the launch of a new limited-edition release, said to explore the interplay of richness, subtle smoke and quiet complexity.

The Glenturret Nocturne 14 Year Old (48.4% ABV) is a single malt Scotch whisky, matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry-seasoned casks. It was created by The Glenturret’s whisky maker, Bob Dalgarno.

Inspired by the transition from day to night, this latest release from Scotland’s oldest working distillery offers a more contemplative expression, reflecting an appreciation for nuance and the complexity that emerges over time.

The Glenturret Nocturne 14 Year Old, is described as delivering notes of rich dried fruit and baked sweetness, followed by a subtle thread of peat smoke, layers of oak, dark sweetness and gentle spice.

Limited to 1,700 bottles, The Glenturret Nocturne 14 Year Old is now available from the distillery’s website and selected specialist retailers, for a RRP of £150.
