The Speyside-based Aberlour Distillery, has announced the US launch of its 14 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky.

Aberlour 14 Year Old (40% ABV), which was double-cask matured in a combination of first-fill American oak and Oloroso Sherry casks, is said to reflect the brand’s focus on the character of its ingredients, including barley and pure Birkenbush spring water.

Aberlour 14 Year Old, which originally launched in the UK and across Europe in 2021, is said to offer aromas of sweet vanilla and ripe cherry, followed by a smooth, rounded palate featuring soft caramel, blackcurrant, blackberry jam and subtle spice.

The latest release follows the launch of Aberlour 21 Year Old, the oldest permanent expression in the brand’s range.

Commenting on the US launch, Jessica Hochberg, Brand Director, GEM Division at Pernod Ricard, said: “Every Aberlour expression tells a story of the place and people behind it, and Aberlour 14 Year Old is a wonderful reflection of that heritage. Double-cask matured in Oloroso sherry and first-fill American oak casks, it brings together rich, warming notes with a smooth, balanced finish.”

Aberlour 14 Year Old, is now available from selected retailers in the US, for a RRP of $79.99.
