2026 marks the 15th year of our industry-leading The Whisky Wire Tastings (formerly Tweet Tastings). One of the very first brands we were fortunate enough to work with during our early foray into the then-unknown world of social media tastings was Wemyss Malts. At the time, they breathed new life into the world of independent bottlings – with vibrant coloured bottles, fun descriptors and general approachability, setting a trail that many of today’s exciting new brands continue to follow.
It is a genuine thrill to announce that, on February 11th, we’ll once again be teaming up with Wemyss Malts — now part of Wemyss Family Spirits, who, if you didn’t already know, own the fabulous Fife-based Kingsbarns Distillery — to host an evening brimmed with their independently bottled bounty.
On the night, we’ll be sharing, sipping and savouring an exceptional line-up of Wemyss Malts releases: A Quarter Past (limited edition), Intrepid Mariner – 20 Year Old Bunnahabhain, Peat Chimney and their latest Velvet Fig 12 Year Old.
If you’d like to be part of an epically exciting evening of indie-bottle-fuelled dramfotainment click here to register by emailing your name, address, mobile number, date of birth, and your X or Bluesky handle. Please remember to include #WemyssMalts in the subject line of your email.
The closing date for registration is January 6th. If you register, please ensure you are definitely free on the evening of February 11th to take part.
Even if you’re not selected as one of the official tasters, we’d still love you to join us by pouring your favourite drop of Wemyss (or other dram of choice) and following every pour and sip of the dramfotainment. We look forward to seeing you on X and Bluesky on February 11th from 19:00 GMT via #WemyssMalts
UK participants only. Registration is open to over-21s only.
